This DIY class will teach everyone to arrange their own wood planter box filled with colorful & vibrant succulents. Each box is roughly 18in long x 6in wide, 5in tall, and will be overflowing with succulents, just like the photos below!

For this class, the wood box will be pre-made, and each person will get to stain their box either white, dark brown, or light brown! After the staining, we will line the inside of the box with protective plastic to prevent leaking, and add protective feet underneath to prevent scratching. These planter boxes are designed to make the perfect dining room table centerpiece!

We will be teaching about color composition in arranging, and each person will get to fill their planter box up with succulents. With planter boxes, since the succulents are planted so closely together, we like to use the analogy similar to a goldfish bowl. When you put a goldfish in a small bowl, it really only grows to its environment. Similarly to the goldfish, when we tightly plant these succulents in these planter boxes, they will only grow to their environment. With this specific planter box, the succulents will last about 6-8 months before overgrowing the box, when at that time, they can be replanted in other pots or gardens to keep growing!

Care sheets are included with each class, and simple misting twice a week will keep the succulents looking fresh!

This class is held at Myrtle Creek Gardens, the perfect location for a day in the gardens. Café Bloom is located on property, and food will be available for purchase for anyone who would like to have a picnic after! Stop by and feed the goats, do some shopping in the boutique, pick up some unique plants, and spend the afternoon enjoying the gardens!
